   Seating for a party or event to many people (Even to the most seasoned party planners) can appear to be a difficult task. Secret is……….. Stay cool and stay organized. Trust that tip and everything will be just fine, and it can be fun as well!

   Here is a trusty guide to help with your seating arrangement.

   The average 36" table seats 4 or less
                         48" table seats 6-8 (6 comfortably)
                         60" table seats 8-10 (8 very comfortably, 10 is the most common)       
                         72" table seats 10-12 (10 very comfortably)

   

  PS: When using this Chart, keep in mind the size of your centerpieces and any other trinkets you may have at the tables for your guests

 

   OK, Now you have the number of guest to the number of tables. The next question is….. what's considered a good table location? Forget it. Don't make yourself crazy. There is no way you'll keep everyone happy, same goes for who to sit next to whom. Just stay away from the obvious bad match ups and every thing else will be fine. Look at it this way you may be starting new friendships and you are the one to Thank!

   Some people think sitting close to the DJ is the worst! Others think sitting close to the DJ means you have the best seats in the house. So why worry? You have better things to do, like enjoy your event to the fullest. After all that is what it is all about, Right?

   One other thing, if you are assigning table numbers, you must get this information to your calligrapher (If they are doing the seating cards) in plenty of time. (Be sure to ask what the lead time is). As well, remember...there will always be changes. (Did I mention there will always be changes??) Again, ask your calligrapher how they want to handle the last minute drop-outs and drop-ins.
