   On your special event even though it appears that you are only paying for "4 hours or more" of entertainment. Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success and time spent for your special occasion.

    Industry rates should be based on talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality, but not always. You will have some companies charge a startling amount of money with the knowledge that you, the customer, will assume that the higher the cost the better quality of service and performance for your event you will have.   
   Rates for the DJ industry vary greatly, ranging from $350.00 to $2,000.00 or more with an average of $950.00 for a 4 to 5 hour booking. The most expensive price does not always produce the best event, and the best price in most cases is not always the best deal.
